I was invited to an exhibit for the 41st Children's Book Fair in Mexico City (FILIJ). The theme was play as a key to other worlds. I wanted to reflect a bit of my own experience as a child that lived in her own little fantasy world.
I wanted to include a park because one of the greatest treats I could get growing up was a walk through Coyoacan or Chapultepec and the chance to see the people selling soap bubbles and balloons.
